Welcome to the networking platform for young Urban Researchers

About the Network for young Urban Researchers

The multilingual (eng/de), interdisciplinary Network Urban Research (NUR) was founded in February 2023 and is aimed at young scientists in the field of urban research in order to promote networking as well as interdisciplinary exchange at the TU Darmstadt. The network mainly adresses doctoral students as well as postdocs, scientific and interested student employees and other interested parties at the TU Darmstadt. The goal of the network is to create a framework for interdisciplinary, collaborative and inclusive exchange. All interested are welcome to join NUR!

For the joint organization and development of the network, NUR meets twice a semester. All members are invited to exchange on news, developments and ideas and plans. The goal of these meetings is to develop collaborative formats, create synergies, and jointly determine the direction of the network. In this way, NUR enables its members to adapt to an interdisciplinary research environment as well as to actively participate in the development of the network. NUR understands itself as a starting point from which working groups and formats with different focuses can be established for its members' and collaborative research activities. Through NUR, young scholars are thus not only familiarized with the range of urban research but are also given space to benefit from the methodological-empirical as well as theoretical and practical expertise of different disciplines.

How does NUR ensure access for interdisciplinary exchange?
